Hi! My name is Bethany, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist in the state of Kansas. I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from Washburn University (Go Bods!). My training focused on the psychological assessment and therapeutic treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. As a student, I enjoyed working with children and families in a community mental health center in the Topeka area providing attendant and community-based care, including both individual and group therapeutic skill building.
My training experiences ignited my desire to help individuals and families identify both their strengths and challenges to guide treatment and services. I am passionate about fostering healthy development in individuals to ensure they have the necessary tools to pursue a happy and meaningful life.
I provide psychological assessment services in the areas of general development, neurodivergence (e.g. Autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities), mood/anxiety disorders, and learning for children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout my practice, I provide trauma-informed care and customize treatment recommendations to meet the specific needs of my patients.
I believe building strong relationships within the community is so important, especially when working with families. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and I want to be an integral part of that village helping families in our community thrive.
When I am not at the Meadowlark Center, you can find me spending time with my family and our rambunctious dogs, jamming out to music, laughing at my favorite comedic podcasts, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen. My family and I are also avid sports fans rooting on our favorite (and sometimes opposing!) professional and collegiate teams.
