Bethany McKnight, M.A.

Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist

Hi! My name is Bethany, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and Licensed Master's Level Psychologist in the state of Kansas. I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from Washburn University (Go Bods!). My training focused on the psychological assessment and therapeutic treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. As a student, I enjoyed working with children and families in a community mental health center in the Topeka area providing attendant and community-based care, including both individual and group therapeutic skill building. My early training experiences ignited my desire to help individuals and families identify both their strengths and challenges to guide treatment and services.

Currently, I specialize in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), with a particular focus on adolescents and adults. Neurodivergence can present in vastly different ways from person to person, and often looks quite different depending on a person’s lived experiences. Many adults have spent years developing masking strategies which can obscure core symptoms, and I feel confident in my ability to help untangle those patterns and provide clarity.

My goal is to offer a compassionate and thorough evaluation process honoring each person’s unique story. I believe a well-informed diagnosis can be incredibly validating and empowering when delivered with care and context. Whether you are seeking answers for the first time or revisiting your understanding of self, I aim to support your journey with both professionalism and heart.

When I am not at The Meadowlark Center, you will likely find me with my family and our rowdy dogs, testing new recipes in the kitchen, enjoying music and podcasts, or cheering on my favorite sports teams (even when the rest of the house disagrees!).
